20 Million completed downloads!
Even with all the recent troubles and DDoS attacks, I'm happy to announce that we just had the 20 Millionth completed download on the site today!
It took us almost 2 years to get the first 10 Million and almost the same time again to get the next 10 Million. Everything considered, not so bad I'd say - the site certainly is going steady.
So without further ado, the magnificent user that downloaded the 20 Millionth complete file was Asagichan while completing THIS torrent. As a reward she joins zamamiroko, our 10 Millionth downloader, with a special user title and Super VIP status!
Congratulations everyone for downloading, keeping torrents alive, uploading new ones every day - this wouldn't have been possible without everyone of you!
Now enjoy the extended freeleech which will get us on our way for the next 10 Million.
Freeleech will last till (and including) June 6th!

Hey there!
If you can read this, your ISP has updated it's DNS information and you are reaching jpopsuki again, yay!
So yeah, we are semi back I guess, took long enough but... it's complicated.
The new "setup" is kinda shitty and pretty slow (like, srsly slow - expect to see RED AGAIN) but it's what we got for now and it certainly is no "final solution".
But yes, this current setup should give us a bit of protection from DDoS attacks - at least that is the plan, we'll see how that works out.
Either way, the tracker is useable again so make the best of it.
Beside that, the jpopsuki.tv site will stay down indefinitely but I hope to have it moved somewhere else in early June - bandwidth requirements are just too much to handle with this wonky setup right here. But be assured, it's not gone forever!
Plans for the future?
I intend on buying a fully dedicated server (in parts), set that thing up and send it for colocated hosting to a provider that is specialised in DDoS secured hosting. Renting a server is not an option since most providers demand an arm and a leg for a decent server with DDoS protection. Also the often mentioned cloudflare would be $200 a month for their plan with DDoS protection and I'm not even entirely sure if they would cover stuff running on different ports like the tracker...
So yes, buying a decent server and sending it so a hoster is the plan for the future. When we'll have the money for that is not clear and depends partially on donations since I'm running on empty already after recent traffic bills and all this trouble here in the past days/week. So if you can chip in a few

DDoS, Downtime, freeleech yadayada
http://25.media.tumblr.com/7da3a08a2f01e154a79d3e29096450f9/tumblr_mhpsbfnBYr1r3i7aho1_500.gif
So as most might have noticed the site was unavailable for the last 4 days - some might have even read on twitter that it was because of a DDoS.
These issues have, for now, been resolved and the site is back.
The reason and source of the DDoS is unclear and I doubt that anyone will come forward but whatever. The site might have actually been back sooner since the DDoS could have stopped sooner (the server was still on all the time, just all traffic to the server was blackholed by the provider because they didn't like all that additional traffic over their network) but because of communication issues with the hoster it might have taken a bit longer. Anyway, all is well that ends well?
So enjoy the freeleech which will last an as of yet undetermined amount of time, but at least till the end of the upcoming weekend. Keep an eye on twitter or this post which might get updated accordingly. (if we hit the 20.000.000 snatched amount till then it will also last longer)

Hey everyone.
I think most are aware of the timeout issues many had in their bittorrent clients with torrents from jpopsuki, as well as general upload issues and the torrent being "unregistered" after uploading to the tracker.
After some changes these issues might finally be resolved and some feedback regarding this from users would be great, since only judging from my >2000 seeding torrents and a few newly uploaded torrents is not remotely enough to consider this issue resolved.
So how is it working for everyone else? Are you still getting unregistered torrents when uploading them to the tracker or do you have lots of "red" / timed out torrents seeding in your client at any specific time?
Please leave your feedback in the topic linked below, thanks!
