Merry Christmas!

It's the end of the year again and we hope you're spending quality time with family. We're in a festive mood today and we'd like to celebrate by bringing some news and launching a couple of new features.

HnRs

    PTP has always been quite casual when it came to enforcing HnR rules. This has been partly due to the fact there was never an easy way to track your torrent activity except within your torrent client itself. We've taken the burden of that responsibility with the introduction of snatchlist.php -- a table listing your entire history and all your stats.
    In spirit of the holiday season, any existing HnRs on your account have been wiped clean. We feel it's fair to give everyone a fresh start. That said, no more excuses to not seed to the requirements stated in the rules. Don't HnR! Staff will be handing out warnings as appropriate.

MediaInfo parsing

    Blocks of MediaInfo text are now automatically parsed within torrent descriptions. Be sure to paste the entire body of the MediaInfo text in your description for it to be parsed correctly.
    If you'd like MediaInfo text to be parsed outside of torrent descriptions (for example, within a forum post), feel free to use the [mediainfo] bbcode tag to generate a pretty table for you.

    Here is the MediaInfo for our favorite Christmas movie, Die Hard, inside a [mediainfo][/mediainfo] block.

Movie aliases (AKAs)
Adding additional movie aliases to any torrent group is now a snap. While foreign titles will retain their format of [Original Title] AKA [Foreign Title] as the movie name, any additional movie aliases can be added (and be searchable) by using the AKA manager within [Edit Description] on torrent pages.

Advanced Search
Advanced Search on the Movies page has been unlocked to the User class. Users, don't forget that there's even more perks hidden away if you move on up!

Invites

    As alluded to in previous news posts, we'd like to grow. We have yet to reach a resource bottleneck and we can support more users, so grow we shall! If you're still scrounging for a Christmas present, a PTP invite just might do the ticket.
    Everyone in Member class with a ratio greater than 1.0 will receive one invite, those with a ratio greater than 2.0 will receive two invites. You will only receive an invite if you currently have none and your invite privileges have not been revoked. Be careful about who you invite!
