CBT - HOT, SEXY CHANGES

Hello, CBT! o/

Trahenots here, dropping a line to give you the scoop and skinny on recent site changes.  As many of you are aware, these changes continue to happen.  Day and night we toil under harsh conditions and the lash of a Romulan guard to bring you the best site possible.  As of yet, we are far from the finished product, but four of the more important and interesting changes are as follows:

First, CBT’s focus right now is to strengthen the actual comics portion of the site (apart from the web-comics section, which we just deleted, including the torrents therein).  To this end, non-comics torrents hosted on CBT--including games, apps, eBooks, movies, television shows, and music—will no longer generate carats.  Don’t panic!  We actually do have good reasons!  We’re not just giggling as we push buttons.  These torrents are typically very large, and they they take quite a while to gain seeders.  So this is actually a bit of good news, as these torrents won’t cost users carats to download.  Users should take care not to upload non-comics torrents to the comics section of the site, as doing so carries severe consequences (a ban, in most cases).

Second, because we have been set upon by the hordes of Mordor, the invite system has been changed.  Power Users now earn 1 invite per month and can keep a maximum of 2 invites at any given time, while Super Users, VIP members, and Scanners/Uploaders earn 2 invites per month, with a maximum of 4 invites available to them.

Third, the Carat Shop items have changed.  We’ve added some new things, scrapped others.  We’ve also adjusted prices.  This process is continuous, so look for the changes.  For example, we have done away with the gifting of Carats in favor of the gifting of torrents.  This eliminates the ability to transfer massive amounts of Carats to users who don't want to seed.

  Fourth and finally: CBT is adding an “Adult” comics section!  While this might make some grumpy old ladies frown, we’re pretty sure that the rest of the community will be… excited... about this change and will promptly… delve into… the material with all the vigorous energy they can muster.  These comics will have their own category (similar to the non-comics torrents), and the new adult material is limited to comics only.  Remember: hentai and manga are still prohibited on CBT.  Close the curtains and lock the door, CBT is getting… a bit more hardcore!

So keep your eyes peeled for these big, round, pliable changes as we thrust CBT into new areas and directions.
