The SD x264 XXX Releasing Standards 2012

[ INTRO ]
In an unparalleled event of co-operation and innovation, the XXX scene
united to bring you the first ever XXX Releasing Guidelines. We thank
all of you who took time to express their ideas, shared experiences and
helped bring this document to life. This document will cover the rules and
guidelines for only SD resolution x264 XXX rips. So without further ado,
we present to you, h264 ripper/enthusiast, the 2012 XXX Releasing Standards.

[ RELEASE RULES ]
Video:
Sources requiring resize are to be cropped and resized using sharp
resizers such as Lanczos4, Spline36, or Blackman. Bicubic is banned.
Deinterlace/ivtc as necessary
Resolutions: 640-720
Width mod16 / Height mod2
Upscaling is forbidden
Max AR error 2.
No watermarking, intros and etc.
Warnings, Compliance Disclaimers, Advertisements, etc. MUST be removed
Overcropping/undercropping the picture not allowed.
- When cropping, remove everything that is not actual picture,
including black or other colored borders. Removing or retaining
fading edges is at cappers discretion and shall not be considered
undercropped or overcropped.
- Actual picture area may be over- or under-cropped by 1px maximum per
side. More than 1px on any side is considered a technical flaw.
- In the case of varying crops/mixed scenes, crop to largest image as
to not lose any pixels on any scene.
Mixed frame rate: In the case of varying frame rates keep highest frame
rate. Improper IVTC methods that result in jerky playback are banned.
Ripper should mention any claim for ITVC or lack thereof in nfo.
Codec:
Video codec must be H264 encoded with 8-bit depth x264.
Custom Matrices are allowed.
Stripping or falsifying encode information in the file header is banned.
Zones (--zones) are forbidden.
Level 3.1 must be respected.
No setting can go below what is specified by --preset slow
Codec must be up to date. A maximum of 5 versions difference.

x264.exe --level 3.1 --preset slow --crf [19-22] --no-fast-pskip
Container:
Container must be MP4.
Support for file streaming and playing from rars is strongly encouraged.
Custom muxing tools are permitted; however, output must be compatible
with standard demuxers.
Samples:
Required.
60-120 seconds in length and in a separate directory marked as Sample.
Must be taken from the encoded movie, not encoded separately.
Extra samples are recommended for any questionable issue with the
source, e.g. no IVTC possible.
Audio:
Allowed audio format is VBR AAC LC (Low Complexity).
Average bitrate on AAC audio must be between 96 - Source Bitrate kbps.
AAC audio must be normalized.
Original samplerate/channels must be kept, up/down sampling is forbidden.
Nero and Apple encoders are recommended. FFmpeg and FAAC are banned.
Multiple language audio tracks are forbidden.
Packing:
Release must not be split.
Release must be packed in RAR file format.
Rars may be in multiples of 50 MB.
- Multiples of 50 MB must contain 10-101 files.
- 1MB 1,000,000 bytes.
RAR compression must not be used.
Recovery record is optional but recommended. 2 max.
Encryption or password protection is forbidden.
Must have SFV and NFO.
RAR, SFV, and sample files must have unique, lowercase filenames with
the group tag.
NFO SHOULD INCLUDE:
- Group Name
- Title
- Release Date
- DVD Release Date
- CRF Value Used
- Final Size
- Resolution / Aspect Ratio
- Audio codec / Audio bitrate
- Movie runtime
- DVD site info link
Propers:
Propers are only permitted in the case of a technical flaw in the
original release (e.g. Bad IVTC, Interlacing, missing footage, and
bad x264 settings used).
Propers MUST include a note in the NFO file detailing the reason.
Sample of propered release is encouraged.
Qualitative propers are not allowed.
Releases may not be propered for bad tagging or missing nfo/sample.
Nukes:
Releases must be nuked for any of the following reasons:
- Any valid proper listed in the propers section.
- Missing nfo or missing Sample.
- Mislabeled directory that could prevent finding the release in
a dupecheck, including incorrect Title or Date.
- Dupe.
Glitches/Drops must be at least 2 seconds long in any one instance
to be considered a technical flaw and can not be nuked/propered.
- Can be nuked if more than 3 glitches/drop of any length throughout
the film.
Fixes:
The following fixes are allowed: NFOFix, SampleFix, DirFix, SyncFix.
DirFix requires NFO and NFO must state which release is being fixed.
The original release shall be unnuked when a valid fix is released.
A proper may not be released for an issue that was fixed, unless the
fix does not completely correct the issue.
Tagging
Encouraged Tagging:
Title.XXX.Source.x264-Group
Title should always be the same as on the physical disc, the cover or
the intro of the movie. Never take the name a Website provides you.
Year can be added after Title, and should be added if a movie with
the same name was already pred before.
Language should be added, for non english movies.
Source should indicate from what medium this movie is (DVDRip/BDRip)
Acceptable characters in naming a directory include (NO spaces or
double dots - single dots or underscores ONLY):

Other permitted tags are: PROPER, REPACK, RERIP, NFOFix, SampleFix,
DirFix, SyncFix, ProofFix.

[ NOTES TO RULES ]
Extras, Behind the Scenes and Bonus Scenes may be included in release.
- Must be unique material. DO NOT include previously or soon to be
released Bonus Scenes or Trailers. Discretion is strongly advised.
- Each extra must be tagged uniquely and based on the main release name.
- Each extra must be encoded seperately but packed together.
- Must be put in a separate directory marked as Extras and include sfv.
- Must use CRF 22
- Nfo must have information on what is included in the Extras directory
eg. behind the scenes, bonus scene, etc. No other information needed.
- Releases may not be nuked/propered for the absence of Extras.
Source related notes:
- Source shall be DVD or BluRay Only, no exceptions!
- Re-encoding material of any transcoded source is strictly forbidden!
Propers/Nukes based upon the rules set forth here are allowed only on
releases that come after this document goes into effect.
