PTN - HnR Rules updated

Site Updates :

For some time we've tested out the HnR system with seedtimes based on userclass and torrent age.
Effective today the HnR requirements have been changed and most of you now have to seed the torrents you've downloaded for a shorter time and you've also got a longer time period to seed it back.
For details about the new HnR requirements please go to the rules page and look at the new downloading rules.

Downloading Rules                                       
Make your best effort to leave positive and constructive comments on torrents for providing feedback and encouraging uploaders.
Seed back what you download to at least a 1:1 ratio or at least try to. If it's impossible for you to seed to 1:1 ratio, then you must seed according to your user class within 21 days of completing the torrent. Failure to do so will be marked as a hit and run, and will be dealt with, accordingly.   

                                             

• Swabbie and Deckhand
                                                          - torrents not older than 7 days - 3 days seedtime in 3 weeks
                                                          - torrents between 7 days and 21 days - 2 days seedtime in 3 weeks
                                                          - torrents older than 21 days - 1 day seedtime in 3 weeks
• Cabin Mate and Buccaneer
                                                          - torrents not older than 7 days - 2 days seedtime in 3 weeks
                                                          - torrents between 7 days and 21 days - 36 hours seedtime in 3 weeks
                                                          - torrents older than 21 days - 18 hours seedtime in 3 weeks
• Swashbuckler and Diamond User
                                                          - torrents not older than 7 days - 36 hours seedtime in 3 weeks
                                                          - torrents between 7 days and 21 days - 24 hours seedtime in 3 weeks
                                                          - torrents older than 21 days - 12 hours seedtime in 3 weeks
• Privateer
                                                          - torrents not older than 7 days - 12 hours seedtime in 3 weeks
                                                          - torrents between 7 days and 21 days - 10 hours seedtime in 3 weeks
                                                          - torrents older than 21 days - 6 hours seedtime in 3 weeks
• Corsair and above
                                                          - torrents not older than 7 days - 24 hours seedtime in 3 weeks
                                                          - torrents between 7 days and 21 days - 12 hours seedtime in 3 weeks
                                                          - torrents older than 21 days - 6 hours seedtime in 3 weeks
• The Rule of the thumb is, DO NOT Hit and Run after you finish downloading a torrent. Just leave the torrent seeding in your client upon completion as long as you can.
• Hit and Run is applicable to partial downloads as well. Members engaging in HnRs on partially leeched torrents will be warned and subsequently BANNED. If you download part of a torrent, you must seed that part according to the rules as stated above. We have ways of monitoring so do not think we will not know.
• All torrents in the 'Snatched Stuff' part of your profile, with red background, are considered as HnRs. You will be warned if you do not seed them back. Remember, it's only 2 warnings, after that, say bye-bye to your account.
